RDM@KIT and the Research Data Management Working Group of the TU9 Alliance, in cooperation with FIZ Karlsruhe, cordially invite you to the workshop Data Stewardship goes Germany 2025 (DSgG 2025).

The workshop will take place from 30 September to 1 October 2025, at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in the facilities of the KIT Library. It aims to bring together data stewards, data managers, data curators, and other experts in the fields of research data management (RDM) and research software engineering (RSE). We look forward to engaging discussions through talks, poster presentations, and working groups.

Abstracts for talks and posters can be submitted via our Indico page until 12 May 2025.

The thematic focus of DSgG 2025 is Data Stewardship in Everyday Research – Use Cases and Best Practices. This includes topics such as:

  • Achieving data interoperability (e.g., through machine-readable formats, metadata),

  • The use of Electronic Laboratory Notebooks, repositories, and other tools in the areas of Research Data Management and Research Software Engineering,

  • Collaboration with the NFDI to create synergies and provide tools,

  • Ensuring the reproducibility of research data and results.

We welcome submissions addressing these and other topics related to data stewardship. We intend to publish a conference proceedings volume featuring extended versions of the contributions in the form of articles.
